Abstract
Objective:To investigate collagen changes following myocardial ischemia in the rats and the influence of losartan on them. Methods:The model of myocardial ischemia(MI) in the rats were copied and interfered with angiotensin Ⅱ type 1 receptor antagonist(AT1a) losartan(LT). Collagen amount was assessed by the method of chloramine T,so did Ⅰ/Ⅲ collagen ratio by immunohistochemical stain. The microstructure of myocardium was observed with electron microscope. Results:Collagen amount and Ⅰ/Ⅲ collagen ratio were increased significantly in the myocardial interstitium of group MI. However, those of group LT was reduced significantly than the group MI's.Conclusion:Losartan restrains collagen remodeling in the interstitium of myocardial ischemia.
