Endoscopic sinus surgery for elder patients with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps

Abstract

Objective: To study the treatment effect of endoscopic sinus surgery in elder patients with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps. Methods: The results of endoscopic sinus surgery in 57 elder patients were analysed retrospectively. Results: The curative rate was 78.9% (45/57),improvement rate was 21.1% (12/57)after surgery. Conclusion: The endoscopic sinus surgery is safe and effective to elder patients with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps.
