Abstract
Objective To study the inhibitory effects and apoptosis induction on human gastric cancer cell SGC-7901 by Genistein. Methods MTT, FCM and electron microscope were used to study the effects of Genistein on SGC-7901. Cell-immunochemistry were used to observe the change of C-myc, PCNA and Fas.Results MTT showed that the Genistein inhibited the growth of SGC-7901, and induced G 2/M cell cycle arrest, electron microscope showed that Genistein could induced cell apoptosis and necrosis, C-myc , PCNA expression were downregulated, and Fas expression were elevated. Conclusion Genistein can inhibit SGC-7901 cell growth via apoptosis induction and the arrest of cell cycle through many kinds of pathway.
