Radical Transformation of Philosophical Theme and Reconstruction of Theoretical Space——Talk at Hitotsubashi University

The establishment of historical materialism realizes a revolutionary transform in philosophy history. The essence of this transform lies in a radical change of the philosophical theme,that is,from how the world is possible to how the emancipation of human beings is possible ,which is a change from the cosmetic noumenon to human existence noumenon,or from knowing the world to changing the world. It also enables to dispel the alienation state of human existence,which,as the focus of Marx's life-long focal attention and striving goal,is the main content of the philosophical revolution of the historical materialism and its current significance. Historical materialism,which takes real human as the orientation and practice as the departure category,explores the relationship between man and nature and man and man,namely,between man and the world,and hence sets up a novel space of theory with a critical worldview. Marxist philosophy is essentially historical materialism; dialectical materialism and practical materialism are but alternative terms for historical materialism,and represent its fundamental nature.
