On How to Understand the Essence of Historical Materialism

Abstract

The understanding of Chinese theory circle to the essence of Marxism has entered the fourth stage,which is the stage of historical materialism.Only when we realize the essence of historical materialism and its unity with historical view,can we really understand the profound connotation of historical materialism,and differentiate it from dialectical materialism and practical materialism to avoid the shortcomings of traditional theory.
