"Jue" and "Tong" ——Liang Shuming and Qian Mu's Reflections of Chinese philosophy

Liang Shuming's Eastern and Western Cultures and Philosophies and Qian Mu's The modern Chinese Academic Forum,are their representative works. They wanted to compare the contents and characteristics between Chinese and Western cultures,in order to clarify the methods and characteristics of Chinese philosophy and explore Chinese culture's new path. On the basis of thinking profoundly on Chinese culture,Liang Shuming put forward Jue,and Qian Mu proposed Tong. Both Jue and Tong were united in Chinese philosophy studies about mind and thoughts. At the same time,two gentlemen tried to make mind and thoughts as the foundation of bridge between West and China.
