Comparison on effects of different concentrations of bupivacaine in epidural anesthesia of cesarean section

Objective: To compare the clinical effect of different concentrations of bupivacaine in epidural anesthesia of cesarean section.Methods: Fifty-eight patients applied cesarean section in epidural anesthesia were randomly divided into three groups.Group A(n=18) was used 2 ml of 0.375% bupivacaine isobaric solution in epidural anesthesia;group B(n=20) was used 2 ml of 0.25% bupivacaine isobaric solution in epidural anesthesia;group C(n=20) was used 2 ml of 0.188% bupivacaine isobaric solution in epidural anesthesia.The onset time of anesthesia,anesthetic effect and blood pressure of 3 groups were compared.Results: The onset time and the anesthetic effect were similar in group A,B(P0.05);the onset time of group C was more prolonged than that of group A,B(P0.05);compared with group A,the blood pressure was more stable in group B(P0.05).Conclusion: The 0.25% bupivacaine isobaric solution 2 ml for cesarean section in epidural anesthesia was more rapid at onset time,more complete at effectiveness and more hemodynamically stable.
