The Evolution of China's Rural Land System and the Development of Land Market

A survey of the land systems in China's history shows the evolution pattern of centralization-decentralization-recentralization-redecentralization,which is characterized by path dependence.In view of the problems with China's present rural land system and the development of rural land market,it is argued that the reform in rural land system should be furthered to promote the development of rural land market.
