Effect of clinical psychological intervention in nursing of lung cancer patients treated with radiotherapy

Objective To evaluate the effect of psychological intervention in nursing of lung cancer patients treated with radiotherapy,to promote the quality of their lives.Methods 100 cases diagnosed as lung cancer patients in the hospital were randomly divided into two groups,50 cases in each group.the routing nursing applied into two groups and the psychological intervention was used in the observation group.the EORTC core quality of life questionnaire(QLQ-C30) was applied to measure the patients' quality of life one week before radiotherapy and two months later after radiotherapy,then the quality of life in the two groups were compared.Results The quality of life measured one week before radiotherapy in the two groups was no significant difference(P0.05).Two months later after Radiotherapy,the functional subscale scores and the overall health status in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group,the general symptoms score and item scores of fatigue,pain,insomnia loss of appetite in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P0.01).Conclusions Clinical psychological intervention was effective to improve the quality of life of lung cancer patients with radiotherapy,so it has highly clinical value.
