Abstract
On the basis of end-quenching,end spray oil quenching equipment was researched to test hardenability of 42CrMo,the samples were sprayed oil quenching according standard until those were cool.Numerical simulation of end spray oil quenching process for 42CrMo steel was performed by using COSMAP heat treatment software.The instantaneous variations in temperature,stress,microstructure and hardness of the specimen during the quenching were achieved by computer simulation.The temperature and hardness of calculations results was verified by experiments.The test results were basically consistent with the simulated results.
