Abstract

Through the investigation and analysis of composing component, formation history, developing tendency, species diversity of Pinus massoniana in Dajin Reservoir watershed area,Zhuzhou,Hu'nan,Pinus massoniana community succession had 3 characters: ① a small area of evergreen broad forest and some evergreen broad forest existed near Pinus massoniana forest. There was sufficient species provenance for Pinus massoniana succession, the succession speed was fast;② The succession law was the successions from Pinus massoniana pure forest to Pinus massoniana and evergreen boradleaved mixed forest, and from pure forest to evergreen broadleaved mixed forest without mixed forest period;③Elaeocarpus japonicus,Lithocarpus glaber,Adinandra millettii,Cyclobalanopsis glauca intruded into forestland, the pure forest rich, and average degrees, and diversity indexes were lower than the mixed forest;the species diversity index of mixed forest with good site condition and rich species compositon was close to and higher than evergreen broadleaved forest.
