The comparative study of patients with complicated dentition defect repaired by the attachment denture on clinical

Objective To compare repairing effect beteew the attachment denture and the traditional removable partial denture. Methods 37patients with complicated dentition defect that can't use traditional removable partial denture were involved in the study.The patients appraised three subjective items about mastication, resume comfort degree, pronunciation and elegance and the docter appraised three objective items about the fix of denture, the influence of base teeth, the influence of oral hygiene before treatment and after treatment with attachment denture 1～5 years,and the result was analysed by spss 13.0 statistics soft ware. Results The subjective and objective satisfaction of attachment denture was superior to that of the traditional removable partial denture (P0.05 ). Conclusion The effect of attachment denture is superior to the traditional removable partial denture on repairing complicated dentition defect,yet we should choose suitable patients and let them see fully because of attachment denture's strict demands on design and make and superior price.
