Abstract
Objective To investigate the association between the target organ damage and essential hypertension with MBPS.Methods 110 cases randomly divided into the morning blood pressure surge group and the morning blood pressure normal group according to 24h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring profiles.Blood fat, fasting plasma glucose, creatinine and microalbuminuria(MUA) were examined.Body mass index(BMI) and left ventricular mass index(LVMI) were determined. The intima-media thickness of two common carotid arteries were examined by color Doppler. Results The mean systolic blood pressure in MBPS group were significantly higher than that in thenon-MBPS group at 24 hours, day and night(P0.05);LVMI,IMT and MAU were significantly higher than that in thenon-MBPS group(P0.05);The morning blood pressure surge was positive correlated to the LVMI,IMT and MAU essential hypertension. Conclusion The morning blood pressure surge could aggravate the target organ damage.
