Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of Calcium hydroxide on root canal disinfection. Methods 346 teeth with periapical periodontitis were randomly allocated to the experimental group(Calcium hydroxide)and two control group(FC and CP).Then observed the clinical effect one week after they were used as intercanal medication and after root canal treatment two years later. Results The clinical effect of the experimental group was better than the two control groups. And there were statistically significant differences between the three groups. Conclusion The clinical effect of Calcium hydroxide was good and it could be widely used in root canal disinfection.
