Abstract
In the present paper the writers attempts to deal with the problem of the delimitation of the boundaries of the zoogeographical regions in Hubei on the basis of the amphibians fauna of the province. Among the 65 species of amphibians listed, 60 species (or 92.3%) belonged to the species entirely or mainly distributed in the Oriental region, 2 species(or 3.1%) to those entirely or mainly distributed in the Palaearctic region, and 3 species (or 4.6%) to those distributed in both Oriental and Palaearctic regions. Basing on the comparison with the amphibians fauna of the adjacent Guizhou, Hunan,Jiangxi and Henan, the writers determine that the amphibians fauna of Hubei province should be included in the Oriental region.
