Study on the delimitation of zoogeographical regions in Hubei,on the basis of the Glires fauna

In the present paper the writers attempts to deal with the problem of the delimitation of the boundaries of the zoogeographical regions in Hubei on the basis of the Glires fauna of the provence. Among the 49 species of Glires listed, 24 species (or 49. 0%) belonged to the species entirely or mainly distributed in the Oriental region, 17 species (or 34. 7%) to those entirely or mainly distributed in the Palaearctic region, and 8 species (or 16. 3%) to those distributed in both Oriental and Palaearctic regions. Basing on the comparison with the Glires fauna of the adjacent Guizhou, Hunan, Jiangxi and Henan, the writers suggest that the Glires fauna of Hubei Province should be included in the Oriental region.
