Abstract

According to the facies analysis of core, the lithological characters of the reservoir, sedimentary structures and the analysis data of grain size, the plane distribution law of sedimentary facies are analyzed. And it is held that the target formation consists of meandering river delta plain sediments, primarily above water delta subfacies, and the main microfacies include meandering river distributary channel, crevasse channel, natural barrier and flood plain. The vertical facies sequence and 3D facies model of the delta subfacies are established. Finally, the control of different sedimentary facies on the physical properties and oil bearing characteristics of the reservoir is studied. The results of the study provide important geological basis for the comprehensive research and the prediction of favorable facies belts of the reservoir.
