Abstract

Objective To understand the treatment effect of noninvasive positive pressure ventilation in moderate to severe bronchial asthma attack. Methods NPPV was added to treat 18 cases of poorly effect to conventional treatment in the moderate to severe asthma attack patients. After 2-6 hours, observed the changes of respiratory rate, heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation,pH,arterial oxygen tension and arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure caused by NPPV in the above patients. Results After treatment by the addition of NPPV,RR,HR,Bp and PaCO 2 was lower, and SaO 2,pH and PaO 2 improved significantly. The differences before and after treatment were statistically significant(P 0.05).Conclusion NPPV can improve the ventilation and oxygenation state of patients with asthma, then conducive to the improvement of the condition, and easy to use.NPPV treatment of asthma, compared with invasive ventilation,is superior and reliable.
