Abstract

Objective To discuss the reasons and methods of decreasing the operative and postoperative complications of cataract phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation. Methods To analyse the operative complications and causes on 328 cases(351 eyes)and to research the prevention and treatment of the complications. Results During the operations, there were rupture of posterior capsule in 12 eyes(3.42%),defeated circular capsulorhexis in 8 eyes(2.28%),Postoperative complications :corneal endothelial edema in 35 eyes(9.91%),increased ocular pressure in 28 eyes(7.98%),after-cataract 17 eyes(4.84%).Conclusion The key to the success for phacoemulsification is the practices surgical methods and skill.Surgeons must know the reasons and symptoms of common complications well before the operation. It can be effectively prevented and treated.
