Abstract
Objective To study the clinical value of three-dimensional ultrasound in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast nodules, and to analyze the ultrasonographic manifestations. Methods One hundred and seven patients with breast nodules confirmed by pathology were examined by three-dimensional ultrasound, including 76 cases of benign and 31 cases of malignant. Results The sensitivity of three-dimensional ultrasound in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast nodules was 74.2%,and the specificity was 93.4%,with the positive predictive value of 82.1%%,the negative predictive value of 89.9%,and the accuracy of 87.9%.Patients with unclear edge, aggregation levy, and rich blood breast nodules in the malignant group were significantly more than that in the benign group(P0.05),but the patients with sharp edges,no aggregation levy,no blood flow nodules were significantly less(P0.05).Conclusion The three-dimensional ultrasound technology can make up the lack of two-dimensional ultrasound, overcome the blood flow angle limitations of color Doppler ultrasound, and can provide richer picture information, which has a higher value in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast nodules.
