Key Index for Assessement of Circular Economy Development in China based on the Material Flow Analysis

In order to promote the development of circular economy in China it is necessary to develop a set of key index for the assessment of circular economy development.This article describes the key index for the assessment of circular economy development in China based on the prevailing methodology abroad,namely,Material Flow Analysis(MFA),and they are suitable for China's special circumstances.In terms of the index,the analysis on the trends of direct resource inputs through 2000 to 2003 and their difference and gap between China and other developed countries are made.Furthermore,by trend analysis on the material flow through 2000 to 2003 in China the improvement of the circular economy has been evaluated.The results indicate that the assessment index for circular economy can be significant in establishing the targets of circular economy development in China and formulating the circular economy development strategies.
