Abstract
SWATH is a new kind of ship types due to its excellent powering and seakeeping performances as well as stability.Taking the characteristics of SWATH ship form and the hydrodynamic interaction among twin bodies, twin propellers and twin rudders into consideration, its hydrodynamic force derivatives and added mass as well as added moment of inertia are computed based on theory of slender body, the program of predicting SWATH maneuverability is compiled using the MMG maneuvering model at sea and illustrated with an example.
