Abstract

FLAC3D, a three-dimensional finite difference software, is used to simulate the stability of surrounding rock of underground powerhouse of the project. Then the stress, displacement and plastic zone of the surrounding rock, after the powerhouse excavated, are obtained by simulating. The computed results show that the structural design of underground powerhouse is reasonable, the deformation of surrounding rock is small, the stress state is good, and the surrounding rock of underground powerhouse is stable on the whole.
