Abstract
The article reviews the background to which the current international GHG emission reduction trading market has developed,introduces the climate trading system of the Kyoto Protocol,compares the trading platforms of Clean Development Mechanism(CDM) and Chicago Climate Exch-ange(CCX),which both concern Chinese enterprises.It points out that participation in global climate trade provides energy conservation and emission reduction projects in China with extra economic gains and,with suggestions on three preparations for a successful participation in global carbon trade.The article helps industrial enterprises and financial institutes prepare themselves to benifit on this historical opportunity.
