Abstract
Objective:To investigate the use of fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH) with bcr/abl dual color ES probe in detection of gene subset of chronic myeloid leukemia(CML).Methods: the bcr/abl fusion gene was detected with FISH in bone marrow cells from 12 CML cases. Results: all of 12 CML cases were bcr/abl gene positive by FISH and 2 cases were associated with ASS gene deletion. Conclusion: the use of FISH with bcr/abl dual color ES probe provided accurate molecular diagnosis for CML.
