Abstract

The mechanics properties and microstructure of as-cast 409L ferrite stainless steel at high temperature have been investigated by means of metallographic microscope,XRD,EPMA,draw testing machine respectively. The results showed that the tensile strength of 409L stainless steel decreased rapidly with rising of temperature at 300~800℃,this decreasing slowed down at 800~1150℃;elongation up to 131.44% the maximum value at 1000℃;the reduction ratio of area up to 97.71% the maximum at 800℃.The recrystallization temperature of 409L was about 950℃.It was showed that ferrite,Fe-Cr alloys and the free Cr were the main phase in 409L stainless steel by XRD.EPMA results showed that Ti(C、N) were major component in the particles of black punctuate secondary phases of 409L stainless steel, and the particles can improve overall performance of ferrous material.
