Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To observe the heat-sensitive point's moxibustion effect of treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,a new therapeutics or the heat-sensitiue point's moxibustion was introduced, that is more convenient,high-performance and rapid-acting for COPD patients. METHOD:90 cases of COPD that were fit for the standard were selected as sample. These cases were randomly divided into three groups: a heat-sensitive point′s moxibustion group(30 cases) which received treatment of the heat-sensitive point′s moxibustion plus normal western medicine;a traditional moxibustion group(30 cases) which received treatment of therapeutics as tradional moxibustion puls normal western medicine and a western medicine contrast group which only received treatment of normal western medicine.Their pulmonary functions were determined before and after treatment and clinical therapeutic effects were assessed. Then author observed the clinical effect of the COPD with the three different therapeutics, and compared the difference of therapeutic effect and course of treatment among the three groups. RESULTS:There was no significant difference among the 3 groups before treatment in the pulmonary function(P 0.05).After treatment, the pulmonary function in both the heat-sensitive point′s moxibustion and western medicine contrast groups had extremely significant deviation﹙p0.01) and it had significant deviation(p 0.05) between the heat-sensitive point′s moxibustion and the traditional moxibustion groups.
