Abstract
Purpose To evaluate the therapeutic effect of small incision extraction cataractae extracapsularis (ECCE)and intraoeular lens(IOL)implantation on phacolytie glaucoma. Methods Nine cases with phacolytic glauco- ma received small incision ECCE and IOL implantation.Postoperative visual acuity and intraocular pressure were exam- ined and any complications during and 'after surgery were observed. Results All the 9 patients obtained good postopera- tive visual acuity and stable intraocular pressure. There were no severe complications occurring intraoperatively or postop- eratively. Conclusion Small insicion ECCE combined with IOL implantation is safe and effective in treating phacolytic glaucoma,(Chin J Ophthalmol and Otorhinolaryngol,2007,7:226-227)
