Abstract
Market economy, a system that economy operates by distributing resources through the market, is innature an activity of moral values related to man’s interests. It requires a moral basis of its own, which is taken as theessential value orientation for its development. Honesty is the most essential moral basis and requirement of marketeconomy. A market without honesty will be in a chaos. As a result, market economy takes honesty as the first in moralityconstruction of the society. This paper states the moral values of the market honesty in five aspects, discloses the moralityrealization mechanism of market honesty in hopes of promoting honesty to be one’s self- conscious conduct and makinghonesty play a role in maintaining the healthy development of the market economy.
