Abstract
Based on ant colony optimization algorithm, Ant Colony Optimization Genetic Algorithm (ACOGA) is an improved algorithm by optimizing ant colony optimization algorithm's parameters. In this paper, ACOGA was applied to amino acid Sequence Alignment (SA) in bioinformatics and the ACOGA based sequence alignment algorithm (ACOGA SA) was derived. The experimental results indicate that the proposed ACOGA SA is very effective.
