Abstract
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of combination of metformin and rosiglitazone in women with polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS).Methods 68 patients with PCOS were divided into two groups of treatment: metformin alone,rosiglitazone and metformin combination.All patients were followed for 6 months.Results BMI,waist circumference(WC) and insulin level decreased after treatment.The insulin level decrement was more in combination group than in metformin group(P0.05) And there were more patients presenting with menstrual onset recovery in combination treatment group versus metformin alone. Conclusions Insulin resistance can be improved more with combination treatment,and menstrual onset recovers earlier in combination group,too.
