Abstract

It is difficult to obtain the qualified fluorite concentrate under the low temperature by employing oleic acid as the collector for the fluorite of a fluorite mine,meanwhile the recovery of fluorite is rather low which has adverse influence on the regular production and operation of mine. For this situation,the new reagent named collector-K was used as collector for fluorite flotation in the laboratory,and excellent beneficiation index is obtained under the low temperature. In the commercial production,the high grade fluorite concentrate with CaF2content of 97. 59% and the low grade concentrate with CaF2of 73. 51% are obtained,the CaF2recovery is 44. 82% and 32. 87% respectively,and total CaF2recovery is 77. 69%. The application of the new collector and technology efficiently solves the difficulty of flotation fluorite under the low temperature,and brings huge economic benefit to the dressing plant.
