Abstract

Objective To observe the therapeutic efficacy and safety of Alprostadil combined with S-adenosyl-L-methionine(SAMe) in treatment of viral hepatitis with hyperbilirubinemia. Methods Seventy-two cases of viral hepatitis patients with TBIL171.1 μmol/L were randomly divided into control group and treatment group. The control group was given with SAMe alone, while the treatment group was treated with Alprostadil combined with SAMe.The patients' symptom and serum TBIL,ALT,γ-GT were measured before treatment and at 4 weeks after treatment. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group(94.12% vs 76.32%,P0.05).At 4 weeks after treatment, clinical manifestations and liver function(TBIL,ALT and γ-GT) significantly improved than pretreatment in both groups(P0.05).The decline in serum TBIL level was more significant in the treatment group than that in the control group(P0.05).But the decline in serum ALT and γ-GT levels showed no statistical difference between two groups(P0.05).No adverse reaction was found in both groups. Conclusion Treatment of viral hepatitis with hyperbilirubinemia with Alprostadil in combination with S-adenosyl-L-methionine(SAMe) is effective and safe.
