Abstract
Based on the present state of substation automation for electric power system in China,the existing defects of substation automation are analyzed the substation automation system structure and function configuration principles to meet the requirements of unmanned substation are discussed.By investigating the present operational situation,the author puts forward the suggestions for improvement.
