Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the imaging of high-frequency ultrasonography(HFUS) in the diagnosis of finger joints damage in rheumatoid arthritis patients.Methods: HFUS exams of the fingers were performed in 32 patients(640 finger joints) with clinically diagnosed RA.Results: On HFUS,intra-articular fluid was found in 26(136 finger joints),periarticular inflammation tissue was detected 15(44 finger joints).bone erosions were found in 28 (154 finger joints),synovitis of finger joints were detected in 28 RA patients (109 finger joints),and pannus were detected in 10 patients(33 finger joints).Conclusion: Imaging of high frequency ultrasonography can be reliable in the finger joints damage in RA patients.It can provide a reference for clinically diagnosed RA.
