Empirical Analysis on Impact of FDI on China's Quantum and Structure of Export

Abstract

This paper has conducted empirical analysis through 1983-2009 data on nearly three decades of China's FDI and export data. The studying result shows that FDI has played a significant positive role in driving China's export growth and FDI has a positive feedback mechanism of aggregation effects, and prior period export of FDI enterprise’s contribution is greater than current FDI growth on current period export. At the same time, FDI has a strong positive effect in upgrading the export structure of China's foreign trade.
