Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of trimebutine maleate combined with hydrotalcid on bile reflux gastritis(BRG).Methods 94 patients with BRG confirmed by gastroscopy and pathology were randomly into groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ,there were 44 patients in group I which were treated with trimebutine maleate 200 mg + hydrotalcid 1 000 mg tid, other 50 patients in group Ⅱ which were treated with itopride hydrochloride 50 mg + hydrotalcid 1 000 mg tid.Symptoms including abdominal pain, abdominal distension, gas, retrostema pain or heartburn, nausea or vomiting were investigated before and 4 weeks after treatment.Gastroscopy was reexamined before and 4 weeks after treatment. Results Every scores of sub-group symptoms, excepting relief of nausea or vomiting, attack frequency and histological integral of gastric mucosa were reduced significantly 4 weeks after treatment when comparing with which before the treatment(P 0.05).Conclusion Trimebutine majeure combined with hydrotalcid can effectively reduce symptoms and gastric mucosa damage of BRG,and perhaps can provides a new choice for the treatment of BRG.
