Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of atorvastatin on blood lipid level and vascular endothelial function of patients with hyperlipidemia and the changes of various indexes after discontinuation. Methods 40 cases with hyperlipidemia were treaded with atorvastatin 10mg/d.Blood level of TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C,NO and ET-1 were tested before treatment, after treatment 8 weeks and stopping treatment 4 weeks respectively. In addition 40 healthy check-up people, who didn′t take any medicine in 2 weeks before blood sampling were selected as a control group. Results The level of NO was lower and ET-1 content was higher in patients with hyperlipidemia companied with those of the control group(all P0.01).The serum levels of HDL-C,NO obviously increased and the blood levels of ET-1,TC,TG,LDL-C decreased after treatment 8 weeks(P0.01).The level of NO,HDL-C were decreased and the blood levels of ET-1,TC,TG,LDL-C increased in patients with hyperlipidemia after stopping treatment 4 week companied with those of after treatment 8 weeks(all P0.01).Conclusion Atorvastatin can adjust the abnormal blood liquids and improve the endothelial function in patients with hyperlipidemia and need to adhere to the long-term medication.
