On the New Development of the Industrial Cluster Theories

The industrial cluster theories are currently transcending their beginning stages and tending to have such new characteristics: the study of industrial cluster from the perspective of an innovative environment, the study of the industrial accumulation from the perspective of the dissemination of knowledge, and the study of industrial cluster from the perspective from the perspective of the social capital. The new theories provide entirely new approaches to the explanation of industrial accumulation, industrial competition, and the legislation in industrial development, and are thus of significant import in both the academic world and the practical industrial activities in China.
