Abstract
By means of CAD,the virtual design for a new type rotary compressor based on Solid Edge is introduced in detail.In this research,the visualization model of the parts of the compressor is carried out under 3D virtual environment and their assembling interfere and moving interfere are analyzed with the motion model of Solid Edge,the balance problem of rotating parts is also solved by virtual design.In addition,the 2D engineering drawing can be directly generated from 3D model.By using parametric 3D modeling method,the designing procedure of compressor can be simplified,the designing time can be shortened,and the cost of development can be brought down.
