Investigation on Virtual Assembly and Motion Simulation of Scroll Compressor

Abstract

It is efficient and economic to excogitate new product of a scroll compressor by means of virtual design. It accords with development and requirement of scroll compressors products currently. Virtual assembly and motion simulation is important process for virtual design in the virtual environment. This paper introduces two assembly schemes of virtual prototype according to the restriction relationship of scroll compressor parts. It has an investigation on assembly efficiency and success ratio of two assembly schemes through sixteen times assembly experiments. To analyse the false reasons in course of assembly detailedly. To define the connection of scroll compressor parts, then realize motion simulation process of virtual prototype after appending drive in position. According to the simulation results, the correctness of mostly parts motion process and motion orderliness can be analysed and the rationality of virtual design can be verified. These will provide a new method for design and manufacture of scroll compressor's new products.
