Abstract

Objective:To compare the masticatory efficiency between attachment dentures and clasp removable partial dentures. Methods:Twenty mandibular distal extension cases were enrolled in this study to measure the masticatory efficiency after repair with attachment dentures and clasp removable partial dentures for one month. The result was compared with paired samples t test. Results:There was significant difference on masticatory efficiency in the two kinds of dentures(P0101).Conclusion:The masticatory efficiency of the patients wearing attachment denture is much better than that of traditional removable partial dentures.
