Abstract
Objective To learn the epidemic characteristics and life lost of malignant tumors of residents in the Production and Construction Crops of Xinjiang. Methods Mortality rate, standardize mortality rate, potential years of life lost(PYLL) and PYLL rate were used to analyse death causes of malignant tumors. Results The annual average mortality rate of malignant tumors was114.90/100000. The standardize mortality rate was 74.72/100000, which accounted for 22.59% of all-cause mortality. The mortality rate of malignant tumors in males is higher than that in females. The top five death causes of malignant tumors were lung cancer, liver cancer, stomach cancer, colorectal cancer and Esophageal Cancer. Leukemia was the main tumor causing residents death in the group of 0-14 years old. Liver cancer constituted to the highest cause of death in the age 15-59, and the death of lung cancer in age60 and above. The sequence of PYLL is liver lung, lung cancer, leukemia, stomach cancer and colorectal cancer. Conclusion Lung cancer and liver cancer were the leading cancers in the residents. Cervical cancer and breast cancer should be paid more attention to the prevention and treatment, according to the characteristics of different populations and different tumors. Effective measures should be adopted to reduce the incidence and death of malignant tumors.
