Abstract
A new catalytic method for determination of chromium was studied. Chromium(Ⅵ) could catalyze the decolorizing oxidation of rhodamine B by hydrogen peroxide in weak acid medium. The linear range of determination of Cr(Ⅵ) is 0~3 5 μg/25 mL Cr(Ⅵ) with detection limit of 1 4 μg·L -1 . The method was used to determine trace Cr(Ⅵ) in electroplating wastewater with satisfactory results.
