Abstract
People of Song Dynasty said that Qin Guan's poems were like ci. They mainly referred to the effeminacy of his poems when he described the love affairs with majestic language. The later critics ridiculed his poems as “woman's speech” and “lady's poems”. In fact, Qin Guan's poems are varied in types and styles. We should neither generalize it with prejudices nor liquidate his works with sentimental beauty.
