Abstract

Cultural criticism is a kind of western discourse. Obvious difference and gap exist between China and west in the motivation, object and method of literature criticism. This is why Chinese cultural criticism fails to go ahead. The understanding of this matter will make us fully aware of the current situation and future development of Chinese literary criticism.
