An Exploration on Practical Teaching for Tourism Major of Local Colleges in Yunnan Province

As a difficulty for higher tourism education,practical teaching of tourism major is worth focusing and researching.It is related to qualities of tourism personnel and the development of tourism industry.Based on the status quo of Yunnan’s local tourism colleges and the practical teaching of tourism major,combined with the overall planning of second undertakingof Yunnan tourism industry,privileges for tourism major development and modes for practical teaching of tourism major are summarized.The author also puts forward some suggestions for improving practical teaching,for example,situational teaching,order training and the alternation of learning and working all through the college years.
