Comparison of the analgesic effects of Dezocine or Fentanyl for intravenous patient-controlled analgesia

Objective To compare the analgesic effects and adverse reactions of Dezocine or Fentanyl for patient-controlled intravenous analgesia(PCIA).Methods 120 patients undergoing cystic resection were randomly divided into 2 groups with 60 cases each.They received PCIA after operation.The PCIA solution contained Dezocine 1 mg/kg and Droperido l5 mg in 100 mL of normal saline(N.S.) in group A or Fentanyl 18 μg/Kg and Droperido 15 mg in 100 mL of N.S.in group B.VAS was used to measure pain intensity and their side effects were recorded at 4,8,12,24 h after operation.Results There was no significant difference in VAS score.There was no wave of blood pressure,heart rate and breath suppression in the two groups.The rate of calm score with Ⅰ～Ⅳ grades in group A was obviously lower than that in group B,and there was no significant difference in the rest adverse effects between the two groups.Conclusion The analgesic effect of Dezocine PCIA is a reliable and better PCIA method.
