The Reason Why the Types of Women in Gansu in the Qing Dynasty Came into Being

Tthe types of women who held to the chastity were the models to the women in the feudal society.In the Qing Dynasty,Gansu Province lay on the frontier and had many national minorities,so the Neo-Confucian viewpoint on chastity were affected by the deferent border culture.But there were thousands of women who held to the chastity.From the angles of the background,the immigrants in the Ming-Qing Dynasty,the awards from the government and the family education and so on,this paper tries to analyze the background and unique causes of the emergence of the types of women,and prove the deep affect of the Neo-Confucian viewpoint on chastity.
