Abstract

Objective To investigate the distribution of interleukin-1 family genotypes in the healthy Han Population in Wuhan. Methods The interleukin-1 family genotypes were detected in 502 healthy Han people in Wuhan by polymerase chain reaction, restriction fragment length polymorphisms methods and gene sequencing. Results There were five gene mutation locations,IL-1 C-889T、IL-1 C-511T、IL-1 C+3953T、IL-1Ra T+8006C、IL-1Ra VNTR.The distribution of IL-1 family genotypes in Han population in Wuhan was similar to Japanese, but was significantly different from American and German(P0.05).Simultaneously,a complete linkage disequilibrium was found between T+8006C and IL-1Ra VNTR(D,= 0.99). Conclusion Five mutation locations of IL-1 family gene were found in Han population,in which a link disequilibrium existed. The distribution of IL-1 family genotypes was evidently different in race and region.
